Why people pick this one

Most free erasers hand back a small, watermarked copy and keep the full file for a paid plan. Here the full-size photo is the free result, every time.

Works with
People, cars, signs, wires, litter, text and logos. JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC.
Comes back as
The same photo at the same size, as JPG, PNG or WebP.
Detail
You mark at any zoom, so a thin cable or a small logo goes as precisely as a whole person.
Limits
None on how many photos. Very large photos are worked on at 24 megapixels.
Price
Free, no watermark, no sign-up.

How to remove something from a photo in three steps

  1. Drop your photo in. Or paste it straight from the clipboard. It opens in the editor, ready to mark.
  2. Mark what to remove. Paint over it with the brush, covering all of it and its shadow, or click it to pick it out in one go. Everything marked shows in red. Mark several things at once if you like.
  3. Press Erase, then download. The background fills in where the red was. Hold to compare with the original, mark anything left behind and erase again, then download at full size.

Made for the photos you actually post

Photobombers and passers-by
The stranger behind you at the viewpoint, the crowd in the corner, the friend who blinked. Mark them and the scenery fills in.
Wires, poles and bins
Power lines across a sunset, a lamppost growing out of someone's head, a bin at the edge of the frame.
Text, stamps and logos
A date stamp, a caption from another app, a logo on a wall or a mug. Paint over the letters and they are gone.
Product photos
Hangers, price tags, dust, a cable in the shot, the hand holding the product. Clean shots for a listing or an ad.
Spots and marks
A blemish, a stain on a shirt, a scratch on an old print, a smudge on the lens.

Clean fills, with you in control

  • The fill matches what is around it: grass, sky, brick, water, fabric, the grain of a wooden table. No blank patch, no smear where the thing used to be.
  • Mark as many things as you want and erase them all at once, or go one at a time and check each result.
  • Not happy with a fill? Undo, mark a little wider, and erase again. The original is one hold away for comparison.
  • Nothing is downsized. The photo you download is the size of the photo you gave it.

Questions people ask

Is it really free, with no watermark?

Yes. The full-size photo is the free result. There is no watermark, no preview-only download and no limit on the number of photos.

Does it keep the full resolution?

Yes. The photo comes back at its original size. Photos above 24 megapixels are worked on at 24 megapixels, which is still bigger than any screen or social post needs.

Can it remove a person from a photo?

Yes. Click the person, or paint over all of them including their shadow and anything they are holding, then press Erase. If a foot or a sleeve is still showing, mark that and erase again.

Can it remove text from an image?

Yes. Paint over the letters, a little wider than the text itself, and the background fills in behind them. That works for date stamps, captions and logos on your own photos.

What if the fill looks blurry or wrong?

Big areas are the hardest, so erase them in parts, and mark a little beyond the edge of the object so none of it is left to copy from. Undo is a keystroke away, and you can try again as often as you like.

Why don't I see the Click tool?

Clicking to pick an object out needs graphics support that some browsers don't offer. The brush does the same job: paint over the thing and press Erase.

Why does the first erase take a moment?

The first time on a device the tool gets itself ready, which takes a few seconds. After that, erases start at once.

Which formats can I use?

JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC from an iPhone go in. You can download as JPG, PNG or WebP.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Pinch to zoom, paint with a finger, tap the thing you want gone, and the download lands in your photos like any other file.
