How to convert HTML to PDF
- Paste the HTML. From ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, your editor or a saved page. Or drop a .html file on the box. A preview appears beside it.
- Pick the page. A4 or US Letter, portrait or landscape, the margins you want, and whether colors and backgrounds print.
- Make the PDF and download. Rendered with a real browser engine, so the layout, fonts and colors match what you saw. Text stays selectable and links stay clickable.
Made for the HTML that AI writes
- Reports, resumes, invoices, one-pagers
- Ask an assistant for a document and you get HTML with the styling inline or on a CDN. Paste it here and the PDF comes out as designed, page after page, with nothing cut off.
- Tailwind, Google Fonts, icon sets
- Stylesheets, fonts and images referenced by public links are fetched while rendering, so a page built on Tailwind or Bootstrap from a CDN looks the same in the PDF.
- Charts and scripts
- Scripts run before the page is captured, so a chart drawn with a library appears in the PDF.
- Print-ready by default
- The page is rendered in print mode, so any print styles and page-break rules in the HTML are honored.
Why not just print to PDF from the browser
- The browser adds its own headers and footers, dates and URLs, and changes margins and scaling in ways that are hard to control. Here the page size and margins are exactly what you set, and nothing is stamped on.
- On a phone there is no good print-to-PDF path at all. This works from any device, and the PDF downloads like any file.
- The result is consistent: the same HTML gives the same PDF every time, which matters when a document goes to a client.
Getting the layout right
- Page breaks
- Add page-break-before: always to an element in the HTML to start a new page there, or break-inside: avoid on a block that must not split.
- Widths
- Design to the page: about 170 mm of printable width on A4 with normal margins. Fixed pixel widths wider than that are scaled down.
- Backgrounds
- Colored headers and highlighted rows only print with "Print colors and backgrounds" on, which it is by default.
- Fonts
- Fonts loaded from a public link are used. Fonts installed only on your computer are replaced by the closest match.
Good to know
- Deleted within 24 hours and never shared.
- The page cannot reach anything private on the way; it can fetch public stylesheets, fonts and images only.
Questions people ask
How do I turn HTML from ChatGPT or Claude into a PDF?
Copy the HTML the assistant produced, paste it into the box, choose the page size, and press Make the PDF. The preview shows what you will get; the PDF matches it.
Does it keep the CSS and fonts?
Yes. Inline styles, style tags and stylesheets from public links are all applied, and fonts from public links are loaded. Fonts that exist only on your computer fall back to the nearest match.
Do images and scripts work?
Images at public URLs are fetched. Scripts run before capture, so charts and generated content appear. Anything that needs a login or a private network cannot be reached.
Is the text selectable in the PDF?
Yes. It is a real PDF with text, not a picture of the page. Links are clickable and the text can be searched and copied.
How do I control page breaks?
Use CSS in the HTML: page-break-before: always on the element that should start a new page, and break-inside: avoid on blocks that must not split.
Can I upload a .html file instead of pasting?
Yes. Open it with the button, or drop it on the box.
How big can the HTML be?
Up to about 1 MB of HTML per document, which is far more than a long report. Very large pages can be split into parts.
Is it free?
Yes.
