How to split a PDF

  1. Drop the PDF in. Every page appears as a thumbnail, numbered.
  2. Choose the pages. Click the ones you want; Select all and unclick a few for the reverse. Drag them into a different order if the extract needs one.
  3. Download. Download selected pages makes one new PDF from your picks. Each page as its own PDF gives you a ZIP with every page as a separate file.

Three ways to split

Some pages into one file
Select the pages, click Download selected pages. The three pages you need from a 40-page manual, as one small PDF.
Every page on its own
Click Each page as its own PDF and you get a ZIP, one PDF per page, named by page number. Handy before uploading pages to a system that takes one at a time.
In two halves
Select the first half and download it, then Clear selection, select the rest and download again. The original is never changed.
A scan into separate documents
Select the pages of the first document and download, then the next. Rotate any sideways scans on the way.

Questions people ask

How do I extract pages from a PDF?

Drop the file in, click the pages you want, click Download selected pages. You get one new PDF with just those pages.

Can I split a PDF into separate pages?

Yes. Each page as its own PDF gives you a ZIP with every page as a separate file, named with the page number.

Can I reorder the pages I extract?

Yes. Drag them before downloading; the new file follows the order on screen.

Does the original file change?

No. You download a new file; the one stays as it was.

Is there a page limit?

No fixed one. Long files work; thumbnails are drawn one at a time so the page stays responsive.

Can I split and merge in one go?

Yes. Drop several files, select the pages you want from each, and Download selected makes one PDF from them.
