Good for
- A set of screenshots
- Ten screenshots of a flow into one document, in order, sharp enough to read.
- Designs for a client
- Exports from Figma or Canva as one PDF, each on its own page.
- Charts for a report
- Lossless, so thin lines and small labels stay clean.
Transparency and quality
- PNGs are embedded lossless. Nothing is recompressed.
- Transparent areas are kept in the file and look white over the page, which is what most people want in a document.
- The PDF is about as big as the PNGs. For a much smaller file, compress the PNGs first.
