Most music generators hand you a watermarked preview and a subscription form. Here the track is the free result, every time, and it is yours to use.
- Works with
- A line of text: the genre, the mood, the instruments, the tempo, the era. English works best.
- Comes back as
- Stereo MP3 or WAV, named after your description, ready for any editor or upload.
- Length
- Ten to thirty seconds free. Signed in, the Pro model makes tracks up to two minutes long.
- Sound effects
- Rain, footsteps, a crowd, a door, a whoosh: describe it and the Pro model makes it, signed in.
- Limits
- None on how many tracks.
- Price
- Free, no watermark. A few downloads a day without an account, unlimited with a free one. The Pro model is one credit for each thirty seconds.
How to make music from text in three steps
- Describe the music. Say what it is for and what it should feel like: "warm lo-fi hip hop beat with soft piano and vinyl crackle, slow and steady". Name instruments, a tempo or a decade if you have one in mind.
- Pick a length and press Generate. Ten seconds for a sting or a Reel, thirty for an intro. The track is composed piece by piece and plays as soon as it is ready.
- Listen, then download. Not quite it? Press Another take: every run is different. Happy? Download the MP3 or the WAV.
Background music for the things you actually publish
- Reels, TikToks and Shorts
- A beat that fits the mood of the clip without a licence to worry about. Drop the MP3 into CapCut, Premiere or any editor.
- YouTube intros and outros
- A signature few seconds that is yours, not the same stock loop as everyone else.
- Podcasts
- An opening theme, a bed under the intro, a sting between segments. Make each one in the same style so the show sounds like one thing.
- Ads and product videos
- Try three moods for the same cut in a minute and keep the one that sells it.
- Games, apps and presentations
- Menu music, a calm loop for a meditation app, a lift for the closing slide. Sound effects too, with the Pro model.

Questions people ask
Is this AI music generator really free?
Yes. Describe a track, listen to it and download it, with no watermark and no limit on how many you make. Without an account you can download a few a day; sign up free and downloads are unlimited too.
Can I use the music in YouTube videos, ads and podcasts?
Yes. The tracks and sounds you make here are yours to use in videos, ads, games, courses and podcasts, including ones you earn money from. There is nothing to credit and no licence to buy.
Is the music royalty free?
You pay nothing to make it and nothing to use it, now or later. Each track is made fresh from your description, so it is not a stock loop that hundreds of other videos already use.
How long can a track be?
Ten to thirty seconds with the free model, which runs. Signed in, the Pro model makes tracks up to two minutes long, for one credit per thirty seconds.
Does it write songs with singing?
No. It makes instrumental music: beats, scores, loops, ambient beds, band and orchestral pieces. If you want words, make a voiceover with the text to speech tool and lay it over the track.
What is the Pro model?
A studio model for people who are signed in. It makes longer tracks in stereo at full quality, and it makes sound effects: any sound you can describe, up to two minutes. A free account comes with credits to try it.
How do I get a better result?
Be specific. A genre plus a mood plus two instruments works well: "upbeat acoustic folk with hand claps and a bright guitar, sunny and hopeful". Add a tempo in BPM if timing matters. Then run it again; every take is different, and the second or third is often the one.
How long does it take?
It depends on your computer. On a recent laptop, ten seconds of music takes about a minute, and a second take is quicker because the model is already loaded. The Pro model makes a thirty-second track in about half a minute, whatever you are on.
Why does the first one take a moment?
The first time on a device the model gets itself ready, which takes a little while on a slow connection. After that, tracks start composing at once. It is kept, so it is never downloaded twice.
Does it work on a phone?
The free model needs a computer with a recent Chrome, Edge or Safari. On a phone, sign in and use the Pro model, which works anywhere.
